St Mungo’s has activities for young people of all ages.
On Sunday mornings “Kingdom Kids” meets downstairs to begin worship in a way more relevant to them. They join the whole body of the church for the peace and liturgy of the sacrament, where younger children are encouraged to pray the Thanksgiving prayer with their bodies, by copying the arm movements of the priest at the altar.
Here is a typical outline of Kingdom Kids worship:
Children of all ages also get together at family services and at other times throughout the year for various activities (e.g packing Christmas shoeboxes), trips and events. We also hold a Christmas Eve children’s service each year which involves all the children.
All activities are run with the child protection policy of the Scottish Episcopal Church with leaders that have undergone the relevant checks.
